Using Alexandra’s Rose Harissa Paste


300g sirloin steak

2 Tbsp Alexandra's Harissa

Small bunch of fresh mint, shredded

2 ciabatta buns

1 Tbsp olive oil

Caramelised onion chutney

100g feta

Handful of rocket leaves

  1. Flatten the steak between two sheets of cling film or baking paper with a rolling pin or tenderiser until 1cm thick

  2. Remove the cling film, put the meat into a bowl and rub with the harissa paste, half the mint and a pinch of sea salt. Marinate for 10 minutes

  3. Heat a griddle pan over a medium-high heat. Halve the ciabatta buns, drizzle with the oil and griddle on both sided until golden and charred. Set aside.

  4. Leave the pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak for roughly 1 minute each side (or cooked until liking). Remove and rest for 5 minutes

  5. Meanwhile spread a dollop of chutney on to each bun, slice steak across the grain, divide between the buns, then top with the remaining mint, crumbled feta and rocket.
